Yokocho translates to “Alley Way” in Japanese and is the perfect name for this eatery located upstairs in the Mid City Arcade. Their dishes focus on the iconic stars of Japanese cuisine like sushi and sashimi, yakitori and tempura. Served alongside the food is a decent selection of cocktails and drinks. Everything is presented beautifully and with only the freshest ingredients.

The flavours are delicious and would definitely recommend trying out!

Loved the wasabi mayo with the salmon! Gives it a great kick of flavour. The yuzu was a delicious addition too.

fried chicken with avocado and kimchi mayo 

Crispy balls of chicken that was delicious with that avocado and kimchi mayo. The chicken was slightly dry, but not noticeable with that sauce.

Mentaiko Udon $18
udon with spicy cod roe 

Loved the perfectly chewy texture of the udon. Not very spicy, but great fishy flavour.

stir fried udon with beef and vegetables 

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
One of my favourites of the night! Preferred this over the mentaiko udon, because stir frying the udon gave it a delicious aroma. Plus, had my favourite mushrooms in it too!

An epic platter of fresh and delicious pieces. The pieces of salmon were fatty and so flavourful. Would recommend!

with lightly batted prawns, fish and vegetables served with a warm soy and daikon broth 

Light, yet crispy tempura batter. My favourite was the prawn tempura which was delicious on its own, but even better with that broth.

Box Hill Central 1 Main Street Boxhill VIC 3128 Australia Top Tea is a newly opened beverage shop at Box Hill Central. Located right opposite the entrance to Box Hill train station, its super convenient to get a drink for the trip home. Drinks are very expensive but taste pretty good. Would recommend trying out! Dragon Fruit Cheese Tea (seasonal) $7.90 + Pearls (+0.60c) MOST POPULAR! Super expensive!
