Khao San Road is a beautiful Thai restaurant in Moonee Ponds. The place itself is intimate and cosy but still can cater for bigger groups. Lots of menu options but the curries are the best. Worth trying if in the area.

Sweet and refreshing but nothing too extraordinary. A bit pricy ★★☆

Sago Dumpling (4 pcs) 12.90
Pricy for 4 small dumplings. The chicken filling was very flavourful with pepper, garlic and peanuts. Loved the chewy sago skin. ★★★

Red Curry Duck $22.90
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Delicious curry that had just the right amount of sweet and spice. The bits of duck were so tender and juicy! Perfect to have with the rice!★★★★

King Prawn Claypot $26.90
A bit too dry for my liking. Nothing too special with the flavours either ★★☆
Green Curry Chicken $20.90
Another great curry, but wasn't as good as the duck. Serving pot looks small but there's more than enough curry to share I promise. ★★★☆

Serving up an extensive range of Chinese/Cantonese dishes, it's a great place for bigger groups (more dishes to share). Flavours are awesome and prices are very reasonable.  Would be back for this!  Wintermelon Soup Delicious and comforting! So very generous with all the fillings and seafood pieces. Would recommend!  ★★★★☆ Roast Duck Nice crispy skin on top and decent flavour!  ★★★☆ Snow Crab (market value) MOST POPULAR ! Crab cooked with fois gras which gives it awesome flavour! Great thing about this dish is that it's a lot saucier than other versions which is great because it means the noodles get extra flavour! ★★★★ Japanese Soft Tofu HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! This dish was perfect with some rice. Super soft and silky tofu that just melts in your mouth!
